You have 5+ years of experience in iOS development, with a strong focus on building engaging mobile applications that prioritize user experience and performance. Your expertise in Swift and familiarity with location technologies enable you to create seamless and efficient features that enhance user interaction with the app. You understand the intricacies of mobile performance optimization, particularly in relation to battery consumption and location services, ensuring that users have a delightful experience without compromising device performance.
You thrive in a remote-first environment, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. Your strong communication skills allow you to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are passionate about user-centered design and are always looking for ways to innovate and improve the app's functionality.
What you'll do
As a Senior iOS Engineer II on the Location Platform team, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the location features of the Life360 app. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing location services, ensuring they are both engaging and efficient for our users. Your work will involve deep dives into location technologies, where you will analyze and implement solutions that improve accuracy and responsiveness.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and implement new features that leverage location data. This includes conducting performance assessments and making recommendations for improvements based on user feedback and analytics. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of learning and growth within the team.
