You are comfortable working in close quarters with a tight-knit team and are eager to contribute to a positive dining experience for guests and crew alike.
What you'll do
As a Pantry Chef, you will play a vital support role in the shipboard galley, focusing on the preparation of cold food items such as salads, garnishes, dressings, and desserts. You will follow recipes and directions from the Head Chef to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes. In addition to food preparation, you will assist with kitchen sanitation and inventory duties, helping to maintain cleanliness and organization in the galley. You will be responsible for rotating stock and ensuring that all food storage areas comply with safety and public health standards. Your role will require you to work approximately 12 hours per day on a rotational schedule of 8 weeks on and 4 weeks off, providing a unique opportunity to experience life at sea while honing your culinary skills.
