What you'll do

As an Applied Scientist on the Pricing team, you will develop and implement algorithms that determine optimal prices and ETAs in real-time, directly influencing the rider experience. You will leverage your skills in Machine Learning and Operations Research to create models that balance supply and demand in Lyft's two-sided marketplace.

Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify key business problems and develop solutions that drive conversion and retention. You will be responsible for building and scaling ML and optimization models that can handle millions of calls per day, ensuring that the systems you create are robust and efficient.

You will also engage in continuous experimentation and analysis to refine pricing strategies, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making. Your work will have a direct impact on Lyft's marketplace, shaping how pricing is determined and enhancing the overall rider experience.
