Who you are
You have 5+ years of software engineering experience with high-level programming languages, and you are passionate about building and improving technologies that enrich the lives of the community. Your experience with Python and Go is a plus, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver complex features from idea to execution.
You are skilled in writing well-crafted, maintainable code and understand the importance of managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You consider the business context and potential failure modes in your design decisions, ensuring that your contributions are both effective and sustainable.
You enjoy participating in code reviews, sharing knowledge, and mentoring junior engineers, helping to foster a culture of learning and growth within your team. You are also comfortable joining the on-call rotation, triaging and resolving incidents across applications and platforms, demonstrating your commitment to maintaining high-quality software.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer at Lyft, you will collaborate cross-functionally with product, data science, analytics, and operations teams to iterate quickly and focus on delighting passengers and drivers. You will contribute to defining the roadmap and architecture, identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Your responsibilities will include writing maintainable code, managing project priorities, and participating in technical interviews to help hire the best talent for your team. You will also be involved in mentoring junior engineers and ensuring code quality through thorough reviews. What we offer
Lyft offers a competitive salary range for this position in the San Francisco area, which is $148,000 - $185,000, not inclusive of potential equity offerings, bonuses, or benefits.
