You are well-versed in maintaining cybersecurity incident response plans and driving continuous improvement in security operations. Your collaborative nature allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring a coordinated response to security events.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead Marqeta's incident response program, proactively monitoring the environment for cyber threats and managing day-to-day security alerts. You will serve as the incident commander during security events, directing investigation strategies and coordinating response efforts across various teams. Your responsibilities will include delivering services aligned with the NIST Incident Response Lifecycle, which encompasses preparation, detection, containment, eradication, recovery, and learning from cybersecurity incidents.

You will work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to maintain the Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan (CIRP), ensuring that it is up-to-date and effective in addressing emerging threats. Your role will also involve mentoring team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to enhance the overall security posture of the organization. Additionally, you will participate in 24x7 on-call rotations, providing critical support during security incidents.
