Mercor is seeking a Learning Designer to build instructional infrastructure for AI training tasks. You'll work closely with project teams to enhance clarity and performance in data operations. This role requires experience in instructional design and familiarity with AI or data operations environments.

Who you are
You have a strong background in instructional design, with experience in creating clear and effective educational materials that enhance task performance. You understand how to transform complex specifications into structured instructional content that guides talent experts in their work. Your ability to identify documentation gaps and improve project guidelines is key to ensuring quality outcomes in data annotation and evaluation tasks.
You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with project teams to address challenges and enhance the instructional framework. Your experience in tech, AI/ML, or data operations environments gives you a unique perspective on the needs of talent experts. You may have a background in teaching, coaching, or educational leadership, which informs your approach to building training programs.
Desirable
Experience in high-growth startups is a plus, as is familiarity with data annotation, labeling, or evaluation workflows. You may also have a background in training for client-facing or sales roles, which adds to your versatility in instructional design.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for building the instructional infrastructure that supports Mercor's human data operations. This includes reviewing and improving project guidelines, rubrics, and instructional documents to maximize clarity and task performance. You will transform complex task specifications into well-structured instructional materials that talent experts can follow accurately, ensuring that they can complete data annotation and evaluation work effectively.
You will partner with project teams to identify where documentation gaps are causing quality issues, and your insights will help shape the instructional materials that guide our talent experts. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of AI training tasks, contributing to the advancement of AI development.
