What you'll do

As a Research Scientist Intern, you will join the Meta AI Speech team and assist in developing cutting-edge spoken language technologies. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing algorithms for speech recognition and synthesis, as well as working on speech-text foundation models. You will collaborate with team members to apply these technologies to various products, including smart glasses and mixed-reality headsets.

You will engage in research that informs product development, ensuring that the algorithms you help create are not only innovative but also practical for deployment. Your work will contribute to enhancing user experiences across Meta's platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, by improving transcription, translation, and content understanding capabilities.

Throughout your internship, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced researchers and engineers, gaining insights into the latest advancements in AI and machine learning. You will also participate in team meetings and discussions, sharing your ideas and findings to foster a collaborative environment.
