You have experience in creating documentation for software products, particularly in the field of data analytics. You understand the importance of clear communication and have a knack for translating technical jargon into user-friendly language. You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with engineers and product teams to gather information and ensure accuracy in documentation.
You have a strong attention to detail and are committed to producing high-quality content that enhances the user experience. You are familiar with various documentation tools and platforms, and you are comfortable working in an open-source environment. You are proactive in seeking feedback and continuously improving your writing based on user needs and team input.
What you'll do
As a Technical Writer at Metabase, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating the documentation for our data analytics tools. You will collaborate closely with engineers and product managers to gather information and ensure that the documentation accurately reflects the product features and functionalities. You will create user guides, API documentation, and other technical materials that help users understand how to effectively use Metabase.
You will also be involved in organizing and structuring the documentation to make it easy for users to find the information they need. Your role will include reviewing existing documentation for clarity and completeness, as well as identifying areas for improvement. You will contribute to the overall user experience by ensuring that our documentation is not only informative but also engaging and easy to navigate.
