Who you are
You have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and at least 2 years of technical engineering experience. Your coding skills span multiple languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, and Python, with a strong focus on TypeScript and JavaScript for web development. You are passionate about building secure and performant applications and have experience working with APIs and extensibility platforms.

What you'll do
As a Software Engineer II on the Excel Chat & Office Extensibility team, you will design, implement, and maintain core components of the SDX infrastructure and Office.js API surface. Your work will focus on improving the performance, reliability, and scalability of the Office extensibility platform, ensuring a consistent developer experience across Microsoft 365 applications. You will collaborate with partner teams across Office to enhance the developer experience and engage with the community to gather insights for platform improvements.
You will be responsible for building foundational components that power the Office ecosystem, enabling both internal and external developers to create rich Office add-ins and extensions. Your contributions will directly impact how users interact with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, shaping the future of productivity.
