Who you are
You have a strong background in applied science with a focus on prompt efficiency β your experience includes analyzing telemetry data and defining performance metrics that drive efficiency in AI applications. You possess excellent technical ownership skills and are adept at collaborating across teams to achieve shared goals.
Your expertise in Azure and OpenAI API allows you to effectively utilize these platforms to enhance prompt efficiency metrics. You are comfortable working with both offline and online evaluations, ensuring that the metrics you develop are robust and actionable.
You have a growth mindset and are committed to fostering a culture of experimentation and data-driven measurement within your team. Mentoring junior engineers is something you value, as you believe in the importance of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, develop, and validate performance metrics to assess prompt efficiency. You will lead the identification of dependencies and prepare documentation for evaluation methodologies, ensuring that the Prompt Efficiency Scorecard is accurate and reliable. Your proactive approach will help identify new opportunities to enhance prompt efficiency across various features.
Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with feature teams, platform engineers, and leadership to establish objectives and monitor progress. You will promote the adoption of cost-saving initiatives and ensure that all stakeholders are aligned with the goals of the project.
Your responsibilities will also include providing mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture dedicated to experimentation, and encouraging data-driven decision-making. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of prompt efficiency within Microsoftβs M365 Copilot.
