ModernFi is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the technical onboarding of financial institutions to their platform. You'll manage infrastructure setup and collaborate with bank IT teams. This role requires a technical background and client-facing skills.

You have a technical background and enjoy being client-facing — your experience includes managing infrastructure setups and configuring integrations for clients. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure seamless onboarding experiences. You possess strong communication skills, allowing you to translate complex technical requirements into understandable terms for clients. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for improving processes, always looking for ways to enhance the onboarding experience for financial institutions.
Desirable
Experience with financial institutions or digital banking integrations is a plus. Familiarity with API documentation and client management tools will help you excel in this role. You are a quick learner and adapt well to new technologies, which will be beneficial as you work with various banking systems and integrations.
What you'll do
As a Forward Deployed Engineer at ModernFi, you will lead the technical onboarding of new institutions to the platform, guiding them from account setup through configuration, testing, and go-live. You will manage infrastructure setups for clients, including provisioning SFTP servers and keypairs using Pulumi. Collaborating with bank IT teams, you will configure Single Sign-On (SSO) in Auth0 based on their identity providers. You will coordinate onboarding for third-party digital banking integrations, acting as the liaison between ModernFi, the client, and the partner. Additionally, you will own and improve the public API documentation, ensuring it is user-friendly and accessible for clients.
