Who you are
You are currently pursuing a Bachelorβs or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Sciences, or a related field. You possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, which will help you articulate product strategies and collaborate effectively with various teams. While you may not be expected to write production code, you are comfortable diving into design and code logic, learning from existing examples, and exploring security products. You have a keen interest in conducting market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback sessions to identify new opportunities for product improvement.
Desirable
Experience or coursework related to security technologies will be beneficial. Familiarity with product management processes and methodologies will also enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team.
What you'll do
As a Product Management Intern at MongoDB, you will work closely with the Security Product Management team to help deliver enterprise security products. Your role will involve understanding and analyzing usersβ needs and pain points, advocating on their behalf to improve the product. You will synthesize various data sources and discuss technical solutions and tradeoffs with engineers and designers to create new product requirements and experiences. You will also refine and communicate the product strategy to relevant stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and various teams within the larger R&D organization, including marketing, UX design, and analytics. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in product management, allowing you to contribute to the development of next-generation enterprise security technologies.

MongoDB offers a competitive salary range for this internship, which is between $68,000 and $76,500 CAD. You will gain valuable experience working in a collaborative environment that encourages learning and growth.
