Who you are
You have 6+ years of experience in software development and operating distributed systems — you've built and maintained large-scale continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines that ensure reliable code deployment across various environments. Your proficiency in Python, Go, or a similar language allows you to develop robust solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
You possess a customer-focused mindset and value efficiency in processes and operations — you prefer automation over manual processes and have a strong bias towards software solutions to minimize toil. Your experience with containerization technologies, particularly Kubernetes, enables you to enhance application agility and optimize resource utilization effectively.
What you'll do
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer on the Deployments team, you will design and maintain MongoDB's continuous delivery infrastructure — your work will ensure that code deployment from development through production is seamless for all engineering teams. You will leverage Argo Workflows and ArgoCD to facilitate this process, providing tooling that enables clear system ownership and self-service onboarding for development teams.
You will collaborate closely with other engineering teams to understand their deployment needs and challenges — your insights will help shape the tools and processes that support their workflows. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving the reliability of the deployment infrastructure, ensuring that it meets the high standards expected by MongoDB's engineering organization.
What we offer
MongoDB offers a competitive salary range of $127,000—$249,000 USD for this role, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, a 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, and access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage.
