What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Storage Engines team, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining WiredTiger, our cutting-edge open-source storage engine. Your responsibilities will include crafting and maintaining the nexus of various server components, ensuring seamless connections between the query system and the distributed replication system with the underlying storage engines. You will work on enhancing transaction management, scaling the code base, and improving the resilience and availability of our server.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers to implement robust solutions that meet the needs of our users. Your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of MongoDB's storage capabilities, making it essential for intricate applications. You will also engage in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering their growth and development within the team.
