You have 5+ years of experience in frontend engineering, with a strong focus on building scalable applications. Your expertise in JavaScript and React allows you to create dynamic user interfaces that enhance user experience. You understand the importance of performance and scalability, especially as applications grow in complexity and user base.

You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable with the challenges that come with re-architecting existing systems. Your experience includes implementing features that support offline modes and local-first data synchronization, ensuring that users have a seamless experience regardless of their connectivity.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver high-quality products. Your strong communication skills enable you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Desirable

Experience with AI technologies or building applications that leverage AI capabilities would be a plus. Familiarity with performance optimization techniques and tools is also desirable, as is a background in B2B product development.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the frontend re-architecture of Motion's platform, ensuring that it scales effectively as we transition from a consumer app to a suite of B2B products. You will implement a local-first sync engine to keep data up to date and support offline functionality, enhancing the overall user experience.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize features that align with our business goals. Your responsibilities will include writing clean, maintainable code, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers to foster their growth.

You will also be involved in performance testing and optimization, ensuring that our applications run smoothly and efficiently. As part of the engineering team, you will contribute to architectural discussions and help shape the technical direction of the product.
