What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer at Motional, you will architect the backbone of our core commercial capabilities, focusing on scaling our dispatch engines and optimizing real-time services. You will drive architectural decisions that ensure our systems are robust and ready for the demands of a live passenger service.

You will collaborate closely with product and engineering leadership to define the technical roadmap, balancing immediate commercial deliverables with long-term architectural investments. Your role will involve implementing high-availability patterns and embedding observability metrics to ensure end-to-end system health and rapid anomaly detection.

You will act as a force multiplier for your team, mentoring others and tackling complex distributed system challenges. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our robotaxi fleet as we transition from R&D to full commercial operations.
