Who you are
You have 15+ years of proven experience building machine learning systems for autonomous vehicles or similar robotics applications β your expertise in this domain has equipped you with a deep understanding of the challenges and innovations in the field. You possess a BS/MS/PhD in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, applied math, or related fields, or equivalent experience that showcases your technical prowess.
Your hands-on experience with machine learning is complemented by a deep understanding of large language models (LLM) and transformers β you are well-versed in the latest advancements and can leverage them to enhance autonomous driving technologies. You have a strong background in developing large-scale production ML systems and deploying them effectively, ensuring they meet real-world demands.
You excel in research and have a track record of innovation β your leadership skills shine as you design, run, and analyze experiments to evaluate the efficiency of solutions on real-world data. Your ability to communicate and collaborate with multi-functional teams is a key asset, allowing you to bridge the gap between machine learning and system software engineering.
Desirable
A deep understanding of deep neural networks, autonomous vehicles, and domain adaptation is highly desirable β these skills will enable you to contribute significantly to the development of Motionalβs autonomous driving platform. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to dissect complex problems and devise effective solutions.
What you'll do
In this role, you will research, implement, and evaluate deep-learning-based methods for prediction and planning for Motionalβs Autonomous Vehicle products β your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our autonomous driving capabilities. You will lead the design and execution of experiments, analyzing results to refine our approaches and ensure they are grounded in real-world data.
