Operations Manager • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have a strong background in strategic sourcing and procurement, with experience managing complex sourcing processes and negotiating contracts at a sophisticated level. Your ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Legal, Finance, Engineering, IT, and Cybersecurity, allows you to develop sourcing strategies that align with budgetary constraints while focusing on reducing costs and mitigating risks. You understand the importance of supplier management programs and have experience establishing defined SLAs and KPIs for key suppliers, measuring criteria such as delivery of business results, cost reduction, quality, and timeliness of delivery.

You possess a keen understanding of the interrelationships between contracts and terms, applying creativity and sound business reasoning to interpret the application of contracts to meet business needs. Your experience in conducting research, performing benchmarking, and gathering market analysis for assigned categories enables you to establish preferred suppliers effectively. You are adaptable and can work flexible hours to support a global workforce, ensuring compliance with Procure to Pay policies and procedures.

Desirable

Experience in indirect procurement commodities is a plus, as is familiarity with supplier onboarding processes. You are comfortable communicating and managing compliance with category strategies, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the sourcing process.

What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the strategic sourcing process for indirect procurement commodities that support Motional’s Engineering and SG&A teams. You will lead the negotiation of contracts and collaborate with various teams to develop sourcing strategies that align with budgetary goals. Your responsibilities will include managing sourcing events such as RFx’s and vendor selection processes, ensuring that all sourcing initiatives are executed efficiently and effectively.

You will also be responsible for managing supplier management programs, establishing defined SLAs and KPIs for key suppliers, and measuring their performance against these criteria. Your role will involve supporting supplier onboarding and purchase requisition programs for internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with Procure to Pay policies and procedures. You will conduct research and perform benchmarking to gather market analysis for assigned categories, helping to establish preferred suppliers and drive compliance with category strategies.
