Who you are
You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in developing and integrating complex systems. Your background includes working with autonomous vehicles or similar technologies, and you have a strong understanding of real-time operations and support. You are adept at troubleshooting and resolving production incidents, ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.
Your technical expertise includes proficiency in Java and cloud platforms, allowing you to design and develop software tools that enhance fleet operations. You are familiar with over-the-air deployment and fleet management systems, and you understand the importance of operational insights in influencing product roadmaps. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency.
What you'll do
In this role, you will act as the primary engineering presence at the Las Vegas AV operation center, providing real-time technical support to ensure daily mission success. You will resolve production incidents to reduce downtime and strengthen feedback loops between on-road operations and global engineering teams. Your insights will be vital in surfacing operational challenges that influence the product roadmap and support commercial launch readiness.
You will also be responsible for designing and developing software tools that enhance AV fleet operations. This includes working on cloud platforms, implementing over-the-air deployment strategies, and developing systems for fleet management. You will collaborate with various teams to build and maintain foundational technologies, including ride-hail partner integration and scaling the autonomous vehicle service globally.
