You have a strong background in DevOps with a focus on building and maintaining cloud infrastructure — your experience includes managing AWS environments and ensuring high reliability and scalability for product teams. You enjoy mentoring and sharing knowledge within your team and the wider engineering organization, fostering a collaborative environment.
You are comfortable working in fast-moving environments with evolving requirements and priorities — your adaptability allows you to thrive in dynamic situations while maintaining a focus on delivering quality solutions. You have a passion for improving developer experiences and are excited about the opportunity to shape a new Developer Experience team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own and evolve Motorway's AWS environments and shared platform infrastructure, focusing on enhancing reliability, scalability, and ease of use for product teams. You will design and build developer-focused tooling that reduces cognitive load and helps teams ship faster with confidence. Your responsibilities will include enhancing observability and reliability of the platform, ensuring that it meets the needs of the growing engineering organization.
You will collaborate closely with product teams to understand their needs and provide the necessary infrastructure support. This includes participating in a shared, out-of-hours on-call rotation after an initial onboarding period, ensuring that the platform remains stable and performant. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and practices within the team.
