You have thorough experience with the Android Open Source Platform and Material Design principles, allowing you to create engaging user experiences that resonate with our customers. Your expertise in Kotlin enables you to write clean, efficient code that adheres to best practices. You are familiar with Reactive programming, specifically RxJava, RxAndroid, and RxKotlin, which allows you to build responsive applications that handle user interactions seamlessly.

You understand the importance of testability in software development and are skilled in Test/Behaviour Driven Development and Dependency Injection. This ensures that your code is not only functional but also maintainable and scalable. Experience with Jetpack Compose is a plus, as it allows you to create modern UI components that enhance the user experience.

You are proactive in your learning and development, continuously seeking to improve your skills and share knowledge with your team. Mentoring junior members is something you value, as you believe in fostering a collaborative environment where everyone can thrive. You are not afraid to propose new ideas and solutions, especially during our Get Stuff Done Days, where innovation is encouraged.

What you'll do

In this role, you will collaborate closely with your Tech Lead to architect new features that enhance user engagement and satisfaction. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software in a thriving environment. Your contributions will directly impact the customer experience, from acquisition and signup to daily engagement with our premium membership tiers.

You will work within a cross-functional team, upholding the highest technical standards across the product. Your ability to communicate effectively with team members will be crucial as you navigate the complexities of feature development. You will also have opportunities to mentor junior engineers, guiding them through code reviews and helping them resolve challenges they encounter.

Staying up to date with the latest trends in technology is essential, and you will be encouraged to share your findings with the team. Your role will involve not just coding but also participating in discussions about the future direction of our products and services.
