Job Description
Who you are
You have over 12 years of experience as a professional software engineer, building, scaling, and extending SaaS products. Your background includes at least 3 years managing technical architecture and design, leading initiatives from inception to delivery. Previous startup experience is strongly preferred, and you have hands-on experience with complex technical projects. You are motivated to amplify the value of your platform by ensuring seamless development and deployment of products.
You possess strong leadership skills, enabling you to mentor and grow high-performing teams. You understand the importance of setting a high technical bar and driving continuous improvement in software design, coding, and quality practices. Your ability to balance feature delivery with operational health is key to your success in this role.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Manager at Narvar, you will lead the planning of new initiatives, translating requirements into actionable work streams while assessing and communicating delivery milestones. You will design and build highly scalable, extensible, distributed systems through incremental delivery, aligned with a longer-term vision. Your role will involve informing the technical roadmap to address technical debt and improve scalability and extensibility.
You will improve operational observability and the effectiveness of system monitoring, reporting, and alarming. Guiding your teamβs continuous improvement of planning and execution processes will be a critical part of your responsibilities. You will also play an integral role in the hiring process, ensuring that you bring in the right talent to support your teamβs growth and success.
What we offer
Narvar offers a competitive salary range of $180,000β$230,000 CAD, reflecting the skills and experience of the candidate.
