NEORIS is seeking a Backend Engineer in AWS to design and develop scalable cloud-native services. You'll work with technologies such as Java, Node.js, and AWS services like Lambda and DynamoDB. This role requires 2-4 years of experience in backend development.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 2-4 years of experience as a Backend Engineer, demonstrating a strong understanding of software engineering principles and cloud architecture. Your expertise in AWS services is complemented by your ability to design and document RESTful APIs using Swagger and OpenAPI specifications. You are proficient in at least two programming languages, including Java, Node.js, or Python, and have hands-on experience with modern databases like Aurora and DynamoDB. You thrive in agile environments and are comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a DevOps culture focused on quality and efficiency.
Desirable
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and a solid understanding of microservices architecture will set you apart. Familiarity with best practices in API design and documentation is a plus, as is a passion for continuous learning and innovation in software development.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain robust microservices on AWS, ensuring they are scalable and secure. You will work with services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS, and SQS to create cloud-native solutions that serve millions of users in Colombia. Your responsibilities will include implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality, and contributing to the overall architecture of the systems you work on. You will also document your APIs and ensure they adhere to industry best practices, facilitating seamless integration with other services.
