Who you are

You have 3-5 years of experience in ETL batch processes and generating data extracts, demonstrating a strong understanding of handling large volumes of data. You are familiar with working under defined SLAs and batch windows, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.

Your technical expertise includes knowledge of data security measures such as PGP encryption and symmetric/asymmetric encryption techniques. You are adept at managing file formats like CSV and Parquet, and you understand the importance of data integrity and compliance in your work.

You possess strong skills in version control using Git, which allows you to maintain and track changes in your data processes effectively. Your experience includes implementing logging and auditing mechanisms to ensure full traceability of data from origin to final extract.

You are detail-oriented and capable of specifying and validating layouts, column structures, and business rules for data extracts. You thrive in a collaborative environment, coordinating with operations teams and ensuring smooth data delivery to consumption channels.

Desirable

Experience with cloud-based ETL solutions is a plus, as is familiarity with data governance policies and retention strategies. You are proactive in resolving operational incidents and continuously seek to propose improvements for stability and efficiency in data processes.

What you'll do

In this role, you will generate files, extracts, and batch reports while adhering to defined SLAs. You will specify and validate layouts, ensuring that the structure of columns and business rules are met. Your responsibilities will also include implementing encryption, compression, and retention policies to secure data.

You will design partitions based on date and establish standard naming conventions and file organization strategies. Managing automatic retries, logging, and comprehensive auditing of processes will be key aspects of your role, ensuring that all data handling is transparent and traceable.

You will coordinate deliveries with operations teams and consumption channels, maintaining a clear line of communication to ensure that all stakeholders are informed of data statuses. Documenting specifications, workflows, and technical controls using corporate standards will be essential to your success.

Your contributions will help build a library of extract templates that incorporate best practices, enhancing the efficiency and reliability of data extraction processes. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting operational incidents and proposing enhancements to improve system stability.
