Who you are

You are a curious, collaborative, resourceful, and motivated student eager to learn from a team of senior engineers. You possess a passion for problem-solving and are comfortable tackling complex, open-ended challenges using data-driven solutions. Currently enrolled in a full-time accredited academic program (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field graduating in December 2026, Summer 2027, or later. You have solid programming proficiency in at least one major language, such as Python, Java, or Scala, and a strong foundational knowledge of SQL (any variant). You also have strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.

What you'll do

As a Data Engineering Intern at Netflix, you will work closely with the Data Science and Engineering (DSE) teams to build software and data solutions that improve various aspects of the business. You will gain hands-on experience with new technologies and contribute to creating foundational data products that enable end-to-end analysis and sophisticated experimentation. You will collaborate with senior engineers to tackle complex data challenges and learn about the unique culture at Netflix. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills in a real-world environment while contributing to impactful projects.
