Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in data engineering, with at least 3-5 years of experience designing and building data pipelines that support business operations and analytics. Your expertise in SQL and Python allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, ensuring data quality and reliability. You are familiar with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and have experience with data warehousing solutions. Your knowledge of ETL processes and tools like Apache Spark and Airflow enables you to create efficient data workflows that drive insights.

You understand the importance of data governance and have experience implementing best practices for data management. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance and product, to understand their data needs and deliver solutions that meet those requirements. You are detail-oriented and have a problem-solving mindset, always looking for ways to optimize data processes and improve efficiency.

Desirable

Experience with PostgreSQL and other database technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with data visualization tools. You are passionate about leveraging data to drive business decisions and have a keen interest in the entertainment industry. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a team that values diversity and inclusion.

What you'll do

As a Data Engineer on the Revenue Growth team, you will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that support Netflix's financial and member data ecosystem. Your work will involve optimizing data related to incoming revenue streams, including billing, invoicing, and member engagement. You will collaborate closely with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their data needs and ensure that the data products you create provide actionable insights.

You will be responsible for implementing ETL processes that transform raw data into structured datasets, enabling accurate financial reporting and strategic analytics. Your role will also involve monitoring data quality and performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that data pipelines run smoothly and efficiently. You will contribute to the development of foundational datasets that are critical for forecasting and decision-making, directly impacting Netflix's growth trajectory.

In addition to building data pipelines, you will participate in data governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with data management best practices.
