Test Automation Engineer • Senior

Who you are

You are a highly technical test engineer with a deep understanding of the games industry testing and tooling. You adapt quickly to new information, switch context when needed, and constantly drive to resolution. With experience across a variety of technologies, you have a focus on TypeScript, JavaScript, and React, along with familiarity in mobile engineering, including Android (Kotlin, Java) and iOS (Swift UI & Objective-C). You are an expert at multi-device testing and have built controller test frameworks and tools to verify different components of complex architectures. As a product testing expert, you are skilled at systematically identifying issues and conducting root cause analysis.

Desirable

Experience with game development and a passion for gaming will set you apart. Familiarity with various testing tools and methodologies is a plus, as is a background in agile development practices. What you'll do

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in evaluating and improving the quality of the Games Platform features at Netflix. You will work closely with game developers to ensure that the gaming experiences delivered to members are of the highest quality. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing test plans, executing test cases, and reporting on the results. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and drive quality initiatives. Your expertise will help shape the testing strategy and ensure that all features meet the quality standards expected by Netflix members.

You will be involved in building and maintaining automated testing frameworks that support the Games Platform. This includes developing scripts and tools that facilitate testing across multiple devices and platforms. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of quality within the team. Your role will require you to stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance the testing processes.
