Who you are
You have a strong background in embedded systems, particularly with embedded Linux, and are well-versed in networking protocols and system design. Your experience allows you to develop control-plane and data-plane software, ensuring efficient packet processing and system performance. You understand packet flow in Linux and OpenWRT systems, which is essential for this role. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with technical leads and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
You are detail-oriented and have a knack for optimizing firmware to ensure low-latency, high-throughput, and reliable operation across various networking environments. Your ability to develop and maintain secure, efficient, and well-documented APIs is a key asset. You are proactive in enhancing logging, monitoring, and debugging capabilities to improve system observability and troubleshooting.
What you'll do
In this role, you will implement control-plane and data-plane features, focusing on efficient packet processing and network performance. You will collaborate closely with the Software Tech Lead to define system architecture, design patterns, and implementation strategies. Your responsibilities will include optimizing firmware for various networking environments and ensuring seamless hardware integration.
You will work with internal hardware and software teams to integrate various services for embedded networking systems. Participating in code reviews and technical discussions will be part of your routine, as you contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to maintain software quality.
