Who you are

You have over 8 years of software development experience, particularly in high-volume e-commerce or online retail services, with at least 5 years focused on front-end and integration technologies. Your proficiency in Node.js-based technologies and/or Java is complemented by your experience with microservices and integration technologies like Kafka.

You are well-versed in API management tools such as Apigee or Mulesoft, and you have a solid understanding of Identity and Access Management technologies, including Ping Federate, OAuth, and OpenID Connect. Your experience extends to running workloads on public clouds like AWS, Azure, or GCP, and you are familiar with container-based technologies such as Docker and Cloud Foundry.

In addition to your technical skills, you have prior experience working in a DevOps-oriented product development environment, with a strong grasp of Continuous Integration and Deployment practices. You are also knowledgeable about modern monitoring and logging technologies like Splunk, New Relic, and PagerDuty, ensuring that you can maintain high system performance and reliability.

You understand system and technical design principles, and you prioritize secure coding practices that do not compromise functionality or performance. Your ability to analyze multiple options and lay out a go-live plan at the conceptual stage demonstrates your strategic thinking.

Desirable

Experience with Content Management Systems would be a plus, as would any additional exposure to emerging technologies in the digital commerce space.

What you'll do

As a Senior Developer at Nisum, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust enterprise applications that enhance our clients' digital commerce capabilities. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that the solutions you develop meet both business and technical requirements.

Your role will involve writing high-quality, maintainable code while adhering to best practices in software development. You will also participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to your peers and mentoring junior developers to help them grow in their careers.

You will work on integrating various systems and services, ensuring seamless communication between different components of the application. Your expertise in API management will be crucial as you develop and maintain APIs that facilitate interactions between our applications and third-party services.

In addition, you will be tasked with optimizing application performance and scalability, leveraging your experience with cloud platforms and container technologies. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving production issues, ensuring that our applications run smoothly and efficiently.
