You have a strong background in full-stack development, with experience in building scalable applications that enhance user experiences. You are proficient in TypeScript and have a solid understanding of AWS services, enabling you to create robust cloud-based solutions. Your familiarity with Next.js allows you to develop dynamic and responsive user interfaces that meet the needs of diverse users. You are detail-oriented and committed to writing clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful technology solutions. You believe in the mission of improving access to education and are motivated to contribute to meaningful projects that support students and families.
Desirable
Experience with additional frameworks and languages is a plus, as is a background in education technology or similar sectors. Familiarity with database design and API development will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team.
What you'll do
As a Full Stack Engineer at Odyssey, you will architect and develop the core technology that powers our education platform. You will work across the stack, focusing on program eligibility systems and education fund ledgers, ensuring that our applications are both functional and user-friendly. You will design and implement scalable services and APIs that facilitate seamless interactions between families, schools, and vendors. Your role will involve writing and executing tests to guarantee the reliability of our applications, as well as maintaining sophisticated database models that support performance and scalability. You will collaborate with product managers and designers to create beautiful, functional experiences for our users, ensuring that our technology meets the evolving needs of the education sector. You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.
