Overview

OKX is seeking an eBPF Software Engineer to lead the architecture design and core R&D of cloud-native observability and security products. You'll work with eBPF technology and integrate with Kubernetes. This role requires expertise in networking and security.

Who you are

You have a strong background in software engineering with a focus on eBPF technology — your experience includes leading architecture design and core R&D for cloud-native observability and security products. You are proficient in kernel-level data collection and have a deep understanding of networking and security principles. Your expertise in Linux and Kubernetes allows you to design and implement non-intrusive solutions for distributed tracing and metrics monitoring.

You are passionate about exploring high-performance networking applications — you have hands-on experience with kernel network acceleration, load balancing, and traffic scheduling. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy conducting in-depth research to push the boundaries of technology. Your analytical mindset helps you build high-performance data processing pipelines that enhance system observability.

Desirable

Experience with cloud computing platforms and a solid understanding of security best practices are highly valued. Familiarity with decentralized applications (dApps) and the crypto ecosystem will give you an edge in this role. You are a proactive learner, always seeking to expand your knowledge and skills in the rapidly evolving tech landscape.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the architecture design and core R&D of cloud-native observability, networking, and security products based on eBPF technology. You will spearhead kernel-level data collection, focusing on network traffic, syscalls, and performance events. Your responsibilities will include building high-performance data processing pipelines and conducting research on the application of eBPF in observability.

You will design and implement non-intrusive solutions for distributed tracing, metrics monitoring, and continuous profiling. Additionally, you will explore the application of eBPF in high-performance networking, integrating with projects like Kubernetes CNI to provide enhanced network capabilities. Your work will directly contribute to the development of innovative solutions that reshape the future of crypto and decentralized applications.
