Job Description
Who you are
You are a qualified Radiation Therapist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field. You have graduated from an accredited Radiation Therapy program and hold an ARRT (RT)(T) certification that is current and in good standing. You also possess a California Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) RHTT or RHA Certificate and a BLS certification. Your ability to enter, verify, and maintain patient treatment parameters in the EMR is essential, and you are skilled in safely operating equipment while adhering to established Radiation Safety Protocols and ALARA principles.
You have experience with Varian Linear Accelerators and are familiar with special treatment procedures such as SRS, SBRT, and Brachytherapy. Your knowledge extends to ARIA and Eclipse systems, as well as ACR accreditation standards and regulatory compliance requirements. You are flexible and willing to support department growth through technological advancements, evolving workflows, and process improvement initiatives.
What you'll do
In this role, you will join Pacific Cancer Care at an exciting stage of growth as they establish a dedicated Radiation Oncology program in Los Gatos, California. As a key member of the oncology team, you will deliver daily external beam radiation treatments, ensuring accurate treatment delivery and patient safety. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide patient-centered care and contribute to the development of new service lines within the practice.
Your responsibilities will include operating radiation therapy equipment, maintaining accurate patient records, and adhering to safety protocols. You will also participate in departmental meetings and contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and operational efficiency. Your role is vital in ensuring that patients receive high-quality radiation therapy in a supportive and compassionate environment.
