What you'll do

In this role, you will design, build, and maintain critical data infrastructure systems that support multimodal training at OpenAI. You will manage distributed data pipelines, ensuring they are optimized for performance and reliability. Collaborating closely with researchers, you will translate their requirements into effective data solutions that enhance the capabilities of OpenAI's foundation models. Your work will involve hardening and optimizing existing systems to support rapid iteration cycles within the Sora team.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that the data infrastructure can scale by orders of magnitude, allowing for efficient processing of large datasets. Your role will require you to stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in distributed systems and machine learning infrastructure. You will play a key part in maintaining the integrity and security of the data systems, ensuring they meet the high standards expected in a research and product environment.
