You have 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a proven track record of optimizing and maintaining complex network infrastructures. Your expertise in Cisco technologies allows you to design and implement solutions that enhance performance and reliability. You understand the intricacies of WAN technologies and have experience working in data center environments, ensuring that all aspects of the network function seamlessly.

You are skilled in network automation, which enables you to streamline processes and eliminate manual tasks. Your ability to identify and implement network optimizations is complemented by your knowledge of enterprise security practices, ensuring that the network remains secure while supporting high-frequency trading operations. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with traders and engineers to solve complex problems.

Desirable

Experience with capacity planning and traffic flow optimization is a plus, as is familiarity with Infrastructure as Code principles. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to contribute to a team that values innovation and efficiency.

What you'll do

As a Senior Network Engineer at Optiver, you will play a crucial role in the design and optimization of our globally distributed networks. Your contributions will directly impact the performance of our proprietary trading systems, allowing traders and engineers to operate at the highest level. You will provide technical expertise to enable a high-frequency trading floor, identifying and implementing network optimizations that enhance speed and reliability.

You will automate and streamline network infrastructure processes, assisting with planned upgrades and maintenance, including migrations and hardware/software upgrades. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring that all aspects of our WAN network function correctly across global data centers and colocations. You will contribute to capacity planning and connectivity improvements, working to optimize traffic flow and standardize our environments.
