Who you are

You are a Systems Engineer with experience in designing, deploying, and supporting large-scale Linux/Unix server environments. You possess good knowledge of Linux Kernel internals and have a developer mindset to help build the right tools for continual improvement. Your solid coding skills in Python reflect your strong desire to automate processes effectively. You have experience within a high-performance computer environment where results matter, and you are familiar with Infrastructure-as-Code practices, particularly with Ansible. Your natural curiosity about hardware and software, and how these interact, drives you to seek innovative solutions. You approach problem-solving proactively and can clearly articulate your thoughts through both written and verbal communication. You are not afraid to challenge or defend a strategy and actively seek opportunities to leave your comfort zone, embracing frequent change.

What you'll do

In this role, you will tackle the life cycle of a server, building and deploying new solutions to enhance system performance. You will be responsible for performance monitoring and managing system capacity, ensuring that our trading servers operate at optimal levels. When technical incidents arise, you will analyze and fix these issues, solving technical ad hoc problems as they occur. You will lead our charge towards intelligent automation, acting as the vital connection between hardware and software. Your research into new technologies and solutions will be crucial, as you will implement them or build better alternatives to keep our systems best-in-class. You will collaborate closely with other teams to ensure that our technology evolution is controlled and effective, contributing to the overall success of our trading operations.
