Overview

Oscilar is seeking a Fraud & AML Data Analyst to provide analytics and insights to protect businesses from fraudulent activities. You'll analyze large-scale datasets and develop risk segmentation strategies. This role requires experience in data analysis and a strong understanding of fraud detection.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in data analysis, particularly in the context of fraud and anti-money laundering (AML) — your experience includes analyzing large-scale transaction and behavioral datasets to identify patterns of fraud and abuse. You are comfortable working with various data sources and have a keen eye for detail, allowing you to develop insights that drive business decisions. You understand the complexities of fraud detection and are passionate about making the internet safer for everyone.

You possess excellent analytical skills and are proficient in SQL — you can manipulate and query data effectively to extract meaningful insights. You are familiar with risk segmentation and have experience developing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fraud rates and loss rates. Your ability to communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders is one of your strengths, enabling you to be a trusted partner to customers.

You thrive in a mission-driven environment and are excited about the opportunity to work alongside industry veterans from leading tech companies — your collaborative spirit and ownership mentality align well with Oscilar's culture. You are eager to innovate at the cutting edge of AI technology and contribute to building a safer digital world.

Desirable

Experience in the financial services sector or with fintech companies is a plus — you understand the unique challenges these organizations face in managing fraud and compliance risk. Familiarity with machine learning concepts and tools can enhance your contributions to the team, as you will be working in an AI-first company.

What you'll do

As a Fraud & AML Data Analyst at Oscilar, you will be responsible for analyzing transaction, account, and behavioral datasets to identify fraud patterns across various domains, including onboarding, account activity, and payments. You will develop risk segmentation strategies and cohorts that help in understanding fraud dynamics and improving detection mechanisms. Your insights will guide the development of KPIs that measure fraud rates, approval rates, and loss rates, contributing to the overall effectiveness of Oscilar's risk management solutions.

You will collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to ensure that the analytics you provide are actionable and aligned with the company's mission. Your role will involve not only analyzing data but also interpreting results and making recommendations that drive product improvements and enhance customer trust. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of trust in the age of AI by leveraging your analytical skills to protect businesses from fraudulent activities.

You will have access to unparalleled learning and professional development opportunities, enabling you to grow your skills in a supportive setting. The company culture emphasizes ownership and impact, encouraging you to take responsibility for your work and make decisions that drive the mission forward. Join us in making the internet safer by protecting online transactions and contributing to the advancement of AI in risk decisioning.
