Osmo is hiring a Controller to manage and scale their accounting function. You'll oversee financial operations, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. This role requires strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to finance.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in accounting and finance, with experience in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. You thrive in environments where you can build processes from the ground up and enjoy bringing order to complexity. Your ability to think strategically about how finance can support business growth sets you apart. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for automating workflows to improve efficiency. You are comfortable working closely with the CFO and other executives to modernize financial operations. You understand the importance of accurate financial reporting and are committed to maintaining audit-ready financial statements.
What you'll do
As the Controller at Osmo, you will own the accounting function, running the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure they are accurate and timely. You will prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements and manage the general ledger, revenue recognition, accruals, payroll accounting, and reconciliations. You will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately. Additionally, you will lead audits, tax filings, and compliance efforts with outside firms and advisors. Your role will be pivotal in building and maintaining accounting processes that support the company's growth and operational efficiency.
