Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in building scalable systems. Your expertise in Java and Python allows you to tackle complex technical challenges effectively. You are familiar with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and have experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes. You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can mentor fellow engineers, guiding them through technical challenges and best practices.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to design and develop robust financial products. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders is a key strength. You are passionate about creating solutions that empower small businesses and understand the importance of user-centric design in financial technology.
What you'll do
As a Staff Software Engineer at Parafin, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling our financial infrastructure. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to design and develop secure, high-performing systems that power our embedded financial products. Your responsibilities will include tackling critical technical challenges, mentoring junior engineers, and influencing architectural decisions to ensure the scalability and reliability of our systems. You will also be involved in code reviews, ensuring that best practices are followed and that the codebase remains maintainable and efficient.
You will have the opportunity to work on integrations with major platforms like DoorDash and Amazon, contributing to the development of tools that help small businesses access the financial resources they need. Your work will directly impact the success of our partners and their users, making a meaningful difference in the small business ecosystem.
What we offer
Parafin offers a competitive salary range of $265k - $330k, along with equity grants.
