You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in data engineering and machine learning. You understand the intricacies of building scalable data pipelines and have a strong grasp of data quality and reliability. Your expertise in SQL and Python allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, ensuring that the data products you build meet the highest standards.
You are a pragmatic engineer who values collaboration and communication. You thrive in environments where you can partner closely with product teams and other stakeholders to deliver impactful data solutions. Your experience in building data models and tooling will enable you to contribute significantly to Patreon's mission of supporting creators.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Engineering team, you will architect and scale the data foundation that supports various analytics products. You will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines that power customer-facing and internal data products. Your role will involve collaborating with product managers and data scientists to ensure that the data infrastructure aligns with business needs and supports decision-making across the company.
You will also work on enhancing the machine learning systems that underpin creator analytics and safety features. Your contributions will directly impact how creators engage with their fans and how data informs strategic decisions at Patreon. You will be expected to mentor junior engineers and help foster a culture of excellence within the team.
