You have a strong understanding of payroll processes and compliance regulations — you ensure that all payroll activities are executed accurately and on time. Your attention to detail is exceptional, allowing you to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with HR and finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
You are proactive in staying updated with changes in payroll legislation and best practices — this knowledge helps you implement necessary adjustments to payroll systems and processes. Your organizational skills enable you to manage multiple tasks effectively, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
What you'll do
As a Payroll Specialist at PhonePe, you will be responsible for processing payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations. You will maintain accurate payroll records and handle inquiries related to payroll discrepancies. Collaborating with the HR team, you will assist in the onboarding process by ensuring new hires are set up correctly in the payroll system.
You will also be involved in preparing payroll reports for management, providing insights into payroll expenses and trends. Your role will require you to work closely with external vendors for payroll services, ensuring that all transactions are processed smoothly. Additionally, you will participate in audits related to payroll and assist in implementing improvements to payroll processes.
