Who you are

You have 1-3 years of experience in investment research, whether on the buy-side, sell-side, or with research/data providers. While financial industry experience is not required, you possess a strong academic record, having completed either a bachelor's or master's degree. You are adept at managing, prioritizing, and executing tasks in a fast-paced, multitasking environment, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to ethical standards. Your strong oral and written communication skills enable you to build relationships effectively, both internally and externally.

You have a genuine intellectual curiosity and a love for proactive learning, which drives you to research the data landscape, industry trends, and market trends. This curiosity helps you contribute to the sourcing of new datasets that can enhance Point72's data library. You also have experience working with data management, which is a plus for this role. Your interpersonal skills allow you to liaise effectively with Compliance, Legal, and Finance teams, ensuring that all operations align with the company's compliance framework.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for building external relationships with Point72’s existing data and research providers, ensuring that the company has access to the best resources available. You will also manage internal relationships across investment teams, addressing daily user requests and ensuring that their needs are met efficiently. Your role will involve researching the data landscape and industry trends to identify new datasets that could be beneficial for portfolio managers, researchers, and other internal business groups.

You will play a crucial role in managing the internal operations workflow, liaising with various teams to uphold compliance and IP sensitivity frameworks. Your attention to detail will be vital as you build and maintain Point72’s data library, ensuring that it is up-to-date and useful for internal stakeholders. You will be expected to contribute to a collaborative environment, working closely with colleagues to enhance the overall effectiveness of the investment teams.
