Data Engineer • Mid-Level

Who you are

You have a strong background in data engineering, with experience in architecting and maintaining high-throughput data pipelines. Your expertise includes working with AWS services such as Glue, EMR, and Fargate, and you are comfortable using Databricks for data processing. You understand the importance of data governance and have experience implementing standards for data privacy and lineage.

You are proficient in distributed processing techniques, particularly with Apache Spark, and have a solid understanding of how to optimize pipeline performance in terms of compute, storage, and network costs. Your experience includes working with both structured and unstructured data, and you are skilled at collaborating with AI engineers and ML scientists to translate model requirements into scalable data architectures.

What you'll do

In this role, you will architect, develop, and maintain data pipelines that handle large volumes of data from various sources, including internal data, market data, and third-party feeds. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data architecture meets the needs of AI and ML initiatives. Your responsibilities will include optimizing data pipeline performance and implementing automated validation and monitoring frameworks to ensure data quality.

You will also support the onboarding of new external data vendors and ensure that data governance standards are enforced across the organization. By leveraging your skills in AWS and data engineering, you will play a crucial role in enhancing enterprise intelligence and driving innovation within the investment services team.
