You are well-versed in database technologies, particularly MongoDB and SQL Server, and understand the intricacies of data modeling and performance optimization.

Your experience with RESTful API development means you can create services that are not only functional but also reliable and efficient. You have a solid understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD workflows, and are familiar with tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions, which you use to streamline deployments and manage UAT environments.

You are proactive in monitoring application health and performance, utilizing observability platforms like Datadog to ensure that services meet their SLAs. Your collaborative spirit shines through as you work closely with UI developers and cross-functional teams to deliver features that enhance user experience.

You are committed to maintaining high code quality, participating in code reviews, and improving unit test coverage. Your familiarity with Redis and Kafka indicates your ability to work with event-driven architectures, adding to your versatility as a backend engineer.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable C# APIs and backend services that are crucial to Point72's Market Intelligence Technology. You will work with MongoDB and SQL Server for data modeling and performance optimization, ensuring that the services you build are reliable and efficient.

You will manage SLAs, monitor application performance, and implement alerting systems to proactively address any issues. Collaborating with UI developers, you will support cross-functional feature delivery, ensuring that the backend services integrate seamlessly with the front end.

Your responsibilities will also include maintaining and improving unit test coverage, participating in code reviews to uphold code quality, and managing UAT environments. You will contribute to the CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub, streamlining the deployment process and enhancing the overall development workflow.

As part of the technology team, you will also contribute to DevOps practices and automation for backend services, ensuring that the infrastructure is robust and scalable. Your role will be pivotal in helping Point72 reimagine the future of investing through innovative technology solutions.
