Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in data engineering with over 8 years of experience in building scalable data solutions — you've successfully designed and implemented data pipelines that handle large volumes of data across various environments. Your expertise in Lakehouse architectures and big data technologies like Apache Hudi and Azure ADLS Gen2 sets you apart as a leader in the field.

You possess deep knowledge of batch and streaming data processing — you understand the intricacies of managing data flows and optimizing performance for real-time analytics. Your proficiency in tools such as Apache Spark and Databricks allows you to leverage the latest technologies to drive innovation in data management.

Collaboration is key for you; you excel at influencing stakeholders and evangelizing modern data practices within your team and organization — your strong communication skills enable you to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively. You thrive in environments that encourage creativity and innovation, and you are passionate about using data to improve healthcare outcomes.

You are well-versed in programming languages such as Python and SQL — your coding skills allow you to develop robust data solutions and automate processes efficiently. You have experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, which enhances your ability to deploy and manage data solutions in a cloud environment.

Desirable

Experience with additional big data technologies like Trino and HDFS would be a plus — you are always eager to learn and adapt to new tools that can enhance your work. Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts is also beneficial, as you understand the potential of integrating these technologies into data workflows.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of data architectures that support PointClickCare's mission to improve healthcare delivery — you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and develop solutions that drive insights and decision-making. Your leadership will guide the team in adopting best practices for data management and processing.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines that ensure the integrity and availability of data across the organization — your expertise will help streamline data workflows and enhance the efficiency of data processing tasks. You will also mentor junior data engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.

Your role will involve collaborating with product and engineering teams to integrate data solutions into existing systems — you will ensure that data is accessible and usable for various stakeholders, enabling them to make informed decisions based on accurate information. You will also participate in strategic planning sessions to align data initiatives with organizational goals.

You will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and advance your career.

We offer flexibility in your work arrangements, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively — our remote work policy ensures that you can work from anywhere in the United States. Join us in redefining healthcare and be part of a team that is dedicated to making a difference in millions of lives.
