Overview
Radar is hiring a Product Engineer to build features across multiple mobile stacks, focusing on geolocation SDKs. You'll work with Android and iOS technologies to enhance their geofencing and location tracking capabilities.
Job Description
Who you are
You have experience in mobile development, particularly with Android and iOS platforms — you've built applications that leverage geolocation services and understand the intricacies of mobile SDKs. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working alongside engineers who are former technical co-founders and interns from top universities. Your passion for technology drives you to stay updated with the latest trends in mobile development and geolocation services.
You possess strong problem-solving skills and can navigate challenges that arise during the development process — you enjoy tackling complex issues and finding efficient solutions. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams ensures that you can translate technical requirements into actionable tasks. You are comfortable working in a high-performance culture where ambition and entrepreneurship are valued.
What you'll do
As a Product Engineer at Radar, you will be responsible for building features across multiple mobile stacks, focusing on enhancing the functionality of our geolocation SDKs. You will contribute to the development of open-source SDKs for both Android and iOS, abstracting away cross-platform differences to allow seamless integration of geofencing and location tracking into applications. You will also work on demo applications, such as 'Waypoint', which are used internally and by customers to test the Radar SDK.
You will collaborate closely with other engineers to ensure that the SDKs are robust and scalable, capable of handling high traffic volumes as we process over 1 billion API calls per day. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews to uphold the quality of our software. You will have the opportunity to innovate and propose new features that enhance user experience and expand the capabilities of our products.
What we offer
At Radar, you will join a team that values creativity and innovation, working in a newly established office in Flatiron, Manhattan. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, along with opportunities for professional growth and development. You will be part of a company that is recognized as one of the top places to work in NYC, where your contributions will have a direct impact on our success and the satisfaction of our customers. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement — we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
