Who you are
You have extensive experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot — you've built robust backend systems and understand the intricacies of microservices architecture. Your expertise in JPA (Hibernate) and SQL relational databases allows you to optimize data interactions effectively. You are a natural leader who enjoys mentoring junior engineers, sharing your knowledge of software engineering methodologies and best practices. You thrive in collaborative environments, engaging in code reviews and pairing sessions to foster team growth. You are self-motivated and results-oriented, eager to contribute to a team that values both technology and humanity.
What you'll do
As a Tech Lead at Real, you will report to the Vice President of Engineering and play a crucial role in shaping the technical direction of our backend systems. You will collaborate with product teams to understand requirements and ensure successful execution and deployment of features. Your responsibilities will include leading the implementation of improvements across our Java Spring Microservices, squashing bugs, and enhancing system performance. You will facilitate knowledge sharing through weekly Dev Chats, where you will discuss challenges and solutions with your peers. Mentoring junior engineers will be a key part of your role, guiding them in best practices and helping them grow in their careers. You will also participate in architectural discussions, contributing your insights to drive innovation and efficiency in our systems.
