You have 5+ years of experience in embedded software engineering, particularly in developing safety-critical systems. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to write efficient and reliable code that meets stringent performance requirements. You are familiar with Embedded Linux and understand the challenges of operating in real-time environments. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex issues that arise during the development of aerospace systems. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that software integrates seamlessly with hardware components. You are passionate about innovation and eager to contribute to groundbreaking projects that push the boundaries of technology.
Desirable
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and familiarity with rocket or aerospace systems would be a plus. Knowledge of safety-critical software development standards such as DO-178C can enhance your candidacy. You are also comfortable with version control systems like Git and have experience in automated testing frameworks.
What you'll do
As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Relativity, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the software that controls the Terran R rocket's systems. You will work on a distributed, real-time control system that operates under extreme conditions, such as Mach 5 atmospheric flight. Your role will involve writing and optimizing code that runs on rocket engines, ensuring that it meets safety and performance standards. You will collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with various components, conducting thorough testing to validate functionality and reliability.
