Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years of experience in designing complex systems — you've worked on projects that required a deep understanding of fluid dynamics and structural integrity. Your expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks allows you to create detailed designs and simulations that ensure functionality and safety. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to life. You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of managing projects from conception through to production, ensuring that all components meet rigorous standards.

Desirable

Experience in aerospace or automotive industries is a plus — you understand the unique challenges and regulations that come with these sectors. Familiarity with propulsion systems and their integration into larger mechanical assemblies will set you apart. You are also comfortable with rapid prototyping and testing methodologies, which are essential for validating your designs.

What you'll do

As a Senior Components Engineer at Relativity, you will be responsible for the design and delivery of fluid systems that are critical to the operation of the Terran R rocket. You will collaborate with the Stage Fluids team to ensure that all systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall vehicle architecture. Your role will involve conducting thorough analyses and simulations to validate your designs, as well as overseeing the production process to ensure that all components meet quality standards. You will also participate in testing phases, troubleshooting any issues that arise and iterating on designs based on feedback and performance data. Your contributions will directly impact the success of the Terran R and the future of space exploration.
