Overview
Ripple is seeking a Head of Compliance (MLRO) to lead and improve its compliance program in Australia. You'll focus on operationalizing compliance for digital currency exchange and payments activities. This role requires strong leadership in AML/CTF compliance.

You have extensive experience in compliance management, particularly in the financial services sector, and are well-versed in AML/CTF regulations. Your leadership skills enable you to effectively manage compliance programs and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements. You are passionate about creating a fair and equitable financial system, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can make a significant impact.
You possess a deep understanding of the compliance landscape in Australia and have a proven track record of developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures. Your analytical skills allow you to assess risks and develop effective controls that align with business objectives. You are a strong communicator, capable of articulating complex compliance issues to various stakeholders.
What you'll do
In this role, you will act as the designated AML/CTF Compliance Officer under the AML/CTF Act, ensuring that Ripple Australia's compliance program is robust and effective. You will develop and implement compliance policies and procedures tailored to the unique risks associated with digital currency exchange and payments activities. Collaborating closely with the Regulatory Compliance team, you will work on local license initiatives and ensure that all regulatory requirements are met.
You will lead the development of risk assessments for new products and services, ensuring that compliance considerations are integrated into the product development lifecycle. Your role will involve continuous monitoring of compliance activities and providing guidance to the team on best practices. You will also be responsible for training and educating staff on compliance matters, fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.
