Overview
Ritual is hiring a Validator Engineer to manage the uptime and performance of their blockchain validators. You'll work with Go and Rust to ensure seamless participation across testnet and mainnet. This role requires 4+ years of experience in high-availability distributed systems.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 4+ years of experience operating high-availability distributed systems, with direct experience running Proof of Stake (PoS) validators on EVM-based chains. Your proficiency in Go and Rust allows you to build and automate deployments effectively, ensuring optimal performance of execution and consensus clients.
You are skilled in managing upgrades, snapshots, and sync performance, serving as the primary technical point of contact for validator operators. Your ability to produce run-books and maintain clear documentation is essential for supporting validator operators and keeping staking participation healthy.
What you'll do
As a Validator Engineer at Ritual, you will own the uptime, performance, and reliability of the validators. You will be responsible for orchestrating client upgrades, parameter changes, and hard-forks with zero downtime across staging and mainnet. Your role will involve profiling and patching critical paths to optimize performance.
You will actively support validator operators via Discord, ensuring they have the necessary tools and documentation to participate seamlessly in both testnet and mainnet. Your expertise will help in building and automating bare-metal and cloud deployments for the validators using the existing full-fledged simulation framework.
